Con Edison crews worked to restore power for some Hudson Valley residents after Saturday night’s storms knocked down multiple powerlines.
Port Chester was one of the areas in Westchester that experienced power outages. Crews blocked off Locust Avenue and Rectory Street for cleanup efforts and to repair several downed powerlines.
A line guard told News 12 that the wires were primary and secondary lines. The crews operated as if they were live and energized, so nearby residents were advised to remain inside or avoid the area completely.
Another spokesperson from Con Edison told News 12 that extra crews were dispatched to assess the damage inflicted by the storm.
