A multi-agency investigation has led to the indictment of five individuals for thefts of 56 catalytic converters across Westchester County.
The District Attorney's Office says it's the result of a yearlong, multi-agency investigation.
Five men, some from New Rochelle, are accused of stealing the converters from vans and buses in Briarcliff, Greenburgh, Peekskill, Pelham and Yonkers 11 different times between November last year and March this year.
At least 40 of the stolen converters were found in a Bronx scrap yard.
Most of the men accused have had their first appearances in court, but one is scheduled to be in court early next year and another hasn't been arrested yet.
