​DA: Orange County man admits to selling fatal dose of fentanyl

Thomas Lempicki said he knew the fentanyl might have a lethal effect on the person he sold it to.

An ​Orange County man who pleaded guilty has admitted to selling a man a fatal dose of fentanyl.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office says 36-year-old Thomas Lempicki, of Washingtonville, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The identity of the man who overdosed has not been released. He was found dead in the town of New Windsor in July 2022.
Lempicki said he knew the fentanyl might have a lethal effect on the person he sold it to.
He will be sentenced in June.
