Crews are already filling the pool for the first time and adding the final touches to the new Delano-Hitch Aquatic Center in the City of Newburgh.

The new $11 million facility on Washington Street boasts a full-size public pool, splash park, concession stand and locker rooms for the community.

The aquatic center replaces the former Delano-Hitch pool, which closed in 2020 due to disrepair. It is part of $100 million in infrastructure upgrades that the city is undertaking.

City officials say the new center is more than just a pool, it's a symbol of revitalization and community investment.
