The 95th Assembly District will no longer have a vacancy after Democrat Ellen Jaffee celebrated a big win.
The seat was vacated by Democrat Ryan Karben who resigned six months ago amid allegations of sexual harassment. Jaffee beat Republican Joseph Brennan for the Assembly seat with 61 percent of the vote.
Jaffee says she will work to help ease the property tax burden on residents of Rockland County. She says she will work with fellow Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski (D-New City) and Republican state Senator Tom Morahan (R-New City) to make sure Rockland's concerns are expressed in Albany.
