A 23-year-old woman who uses a wheelchair says learning how to dance has transformed her life.
Rayenne Rysinger was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 11. She says doctors told her she most likely would never walk again and after years of physical therapy, she can barely walk and stand on her own.
Rysinger says she called the Diva Dance Studio in Goshen, hoping they would teach her how to dance, despite her disability.
The owner of the dance studio, Vasily Nikeshin, says working with Rysinger has helped both of them. He says she improves with each dance lesson and he feels like he has achieved something as an instructor too.
Rysinger recently competed in the Diva Dance Studio's showcase competition and tied for first place.
