Two disturbing racist incidents have recently surfaced in the Village of Dobbs Ferry, prompting local authorities to address the community.

According to police reports, a village visitor dialed 911 and falsely accused a local Black father of threatening him and children at the waterfront park. Dobbs Ferry officials emphasize the severity of making baseless threat accusations, underscoring that individuals can face criminal charges for such actions.

Additionally, authorities received a report of a swastika drawn on a public trash can along 120 Main St. The hate symbol, rendered in white paint pen, was swiftly removed. However, law enforcement urges anyone with information to come forward to aid their investigation.

In response to these incidents, the village's board of trustees issued a statement affirming their condemnation of all forms of racism and discrimination. They assert their commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where every resident and visitor feels secure.
