Residents in Nyack voted to pass a law that will help reduce noise in their downtown area.
The law that prohibits loud music from blaring beyond the doors of the bars between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
The ban starts later from Friday through Sunday and goes from 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.
Establishments that don't follow the rule could face fines.
