Downtown Rye is turning into a Winter Wonderland today.

The neighborhood is getting into the winter spirit with a Spot the Snowflake scavenger hunt that starts at 11 a.m.

Participants have to find the special snowflake on more than 20 stores and restaurants around Purchase Street.

Winners will receive a free snowflake iced cookie from the Rye Country Store.

The Winter Wonderland runs through Feb. 20 and is part of the town’s effort to get residents to come out and support their local businesses during the pandemic.
