An appointment-only drive-thru vaccination clinic opened for children ages 5-11 years old in Dobbs Ferry on Sunday.
Dr. Holly Gilbert, a Scarsdale infectious disease expert, teamed up with two local pediatricians to vaccinate 300 young patients.
The drive-thru was offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
These doctors hosting the event say they understand some parents are hesitant about giving children the vaccine, but while most children don't get very sick if they get COVID-19, some do.
Organizers say they hope to hold more drive-thru events in the future.
Children are also able to get their vaccine at select CVS and Walgreen stores, by appointment only.
