The Dutchess County Fair is set to take place in a little over 100 days, but organizers and elected officials say they haven't received any guidance yet from New York state.
The fair is scheduled between Aug. 24 - Aug. 29.
The president and CEO of the Dutchess County Agricultural Society, the organization responsible for managing the fair, got emotional about not seeing the 100+ acres hosting entertainment, vendors, animals and of course people last year.
"I have been on this fairground since I was 8 years old. The way it was last year, it's not right," says Andy Imperati, CEO and president of the Dutchess County Agricultural Society.
While no outlines have been given, organizers say they are proactively planning and thinking of safety measures like one-way traffic flows, sanitizing stations and more.
News 12 reached out to the governor's office but has not yet heard back.
