An Eastchester woman who was reported to have died after being hit by a car Tuesday is still alive.
The 42-year-old was struck at the intersection of White Plains Road and Tuckahoe Avenue.
Eastchester police were originally told she had been pronounced dead at a local hospital, but now say she remains hospitalized.
The driver stayed at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
