Police say an elderly woman who wandered away from an Orange County care facility into the freezing cold was found dead after a short search.
The 90-year-old woman, who police say was suffering from dementia, was found dead behind a building located next door to the New Windsor Country Inn in New Windsor.
Two employees at the assisted-living facility have been suspended pending the results of an internal investigation.
