6h agoNew potentially lifesaving measures at the site of the fatal Farmingdale bus crash in Orange County are now complete.
A crash gate has been installed along I-84 in Wawayanda following a September crash that killed two people and injured several students in the Farmingdale Union Free School District.
The access gate will give first responders a shortcut to the interstate and speed up response times.
Firefighters have been calling for the gate for over two decades.
Construction on it began in the spring.
