An environmental group is calling for an investigation into a resurfaced story about Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a former presidential candidate, and his alleged involvement in cutting off a whale's head with a chainsaw.
The story, shared by Kennedy's daughter Kathleen 12 years ago, claims that Kennedy Jr. used a chainsaw to remove the head of a whale that had washed up on shore in Massachusetts. He then drove the whale head back to their Mount Kisco home.
The environmental group is seeking to determine whether Kennedy Jr. broke any federal laws protecting wildlife.
