A former town trustee and substitute teacher in Cold Spring was sentenced to five years in prison for attempting to receive child porn from his 16-year-old former student.

Officials say Charles Hustis sent the teen sexual pictures on Facebook and asked for pictures in return.

The 37-year-old was arrested by officers while trying to meet up with the victim to take him back to his apartment in 2019.
