News 12 has obtained exclusive footage capturing the moments leading up to a head-on collision between a car and a school bus in Yonkers on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. near 317 South Broadway in Yonkers. The footage shows the white car crossing into oncoming traffic before colliding head-on with the school bus. Interestingly, the car appears to drift, and its brake lights never illuminate.
Four individuals, including a child, sustained minor injuries in the crash and were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, all are expected to recover.
Investigators note that the bus was en route from Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, a pre-K through eighth-grade school located approximately a mile away.
The incident remains under active investigation, police say.
Police tell News 12 they've determined there was no criminal activity involved in the crash but that the driver of the white car is being ticketed for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
