County Executive Ed Diana (R-Orange) today vetoed the revised 2012 budget presented to him by Orange legislators.
Diana's decision means that it's back to square one, with a final deadline fast approaching to approve a spending plan.
"It's not in the best interest of the county to spend money we simply don't have," Diana said at a news conference in Goshen.
Diana's 2012 budget would stop funding for the Valley View Nursing Home in June, putting over 300 residents and 400 employees in limbo. Orange County lawmakers vote to keep nursing home open
