Deal hunters were out and about hoping to save money and snag Black Friday deals.

The crowds at Cross County Center in Yonkers were manageable Friday morning. Many people showed up around 6 a.m. to ensure they didn’t have to wait too long in line.

Many of the stores at the center were offering 30-50% off items. Retailers are also offering deals online. But some shoppers told News 12 that they much rather be able to touch, hold or try items in person.

According to the National Retail Federation, an estimated 182 million people are planning to shop in-store and online from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday this year. This is 15.7 million more people than last year and is the highest estimate since data started being collected in 2017.

Deals and discounts are expected to last through the weekend. Cross County Center is open until 10 p.m.
