Police have traced the bomb threat at Bronxville schools to Malaysia.

They say the threat came from a national hotline at around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, indicating a potential bomb outside of the school.

The schools went into hold in place mode. Police from Yonkers, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Scarsdale and Westchester County were called in to assist Bronxville police.

K-9 units swept the perimeter of the building as well as cars in the school's parking lots and parked on the surrounding streets. Students were dismissed early so a search of the entire buildings could be conducted. Nothing was found.

Authorities say that due to limited cooperation with Malaysia, an arrest is unlikely.
