The Federal Aviation Administration has announced airspace redesigns that will send more aircraft flying over Rockland County.
The redesigns are meant to reduce delays at LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy and Newark airports.
Residents are worried that the increase in flights will increase noise and pollution.
Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef is against the new plans, saying that sending aircraft over the ocean would be preferable.
