Friends, family and comrades gathered Thursday to mourn a 16-year-old junior firefighter from Hillcrest who died suddenly.
Vincent Linguanti?s, 16, lifelong dream was tragically cut short Monday. Linguanti had hockey practice, ate dinner and then went out on a call with the Hillcrest Fire Department. He was found dead in his bedroom the following morning. His mother reflected on the fact that her son did everything he loved just before he died. Outside the firehouse, flags were at half-staff and a sign read ?Gone but not forgotten.?
Preliminary autopsy reports say that a heart defect may have led to Linguanti?s death.
