Students are now dealing with the loss of another student at Minisink High School in Middletown after 16-year-old Christian Thomas succumbed Friday to injuries sustained in a car crash Tuesday.
Officials say Thomas and 17-year-old Daniel Garcia, also a student at the school, were in a car driven by Thomas when the car crashed head-on into an SUV in Deerpark.
Garcia died at the scene while Thomas was taken to Westchester County Medical Center.
Garcia was laid to rest on Saturday. No funeral arrangements have been announced for Thomas.
