More help arrived in Westchester Saturday as FEMA opened up two more disaster recovery centers.

New centers opened at the Eastchester Public Library and the New Rochelle Emergency Operations Center. FEMA workers were on hand to help flood victims navigate the paperwork needed to get emergency assistance.

Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-18th District), who urged the president to sign the disaster declaration, was in Eastchester to meet with FEMA and flood victims. Lowey says she was happy to see the government agency helping those who lost so much.

The centers, along with the one already in Mamaroneck, will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, residents can call the hotline at 1-800-621-FEMA.

FEMA plans to open more disaster assistance centers next week in Westchester, Rockland, and Orange counties.
