Former library business manager sentenced for embezzlement

Mary Soto, the former business manager of the Mamaroneck Public Library, has been sentenced to three years' probation for stealing nearly $44,000 from the library.

Mary Soto, the former business manager of the Mamaroneck Public Library, has been sentenced to three years' probation for stealing nearly $44,000 from the library.
Soto, 62, of Mamaroneck, pleaded guilty to grand larceny after authorities discovered she had embezzled funds between May 2016 and February 2023.
As part of her sentence, Soto has paid full restitution, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.
Her probation term will last three years.
