Dozens gathered to honor a former Sloatsburg mayor with the dedication of the Mayor Carl S. Wright pavilion this weekend.
At a ceremony at Mill Street Park, Rockland County, Wright reflected on his 40 years of service to the community. "I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart....I've always looked at the community as an extension of my family"
Wright served as mayor for three decades and was also a firefighter and police officer.
