A former Vassar College student is facing felony charges in Poughkeepsie after an anonymous message claimed a bomb was inside a dorm during move-in day, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said 22-year-old Nigel Trenh posted the message, which led to an evacuation of everyone on campus.

Police confirmed the threat was a hoax, and Trenh was arrested this week.

He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
