Former Westchester County Executive Astorino considers 2022 run for governor
Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has confirmed to News 12 he is considering a run for governor of New York.
The Republican says several big donors and party leaders have approached him about a run in the 2022 election.
Back in 2014, Cuomo defeated Astorino to secure his second term.
Astorino also lost last year when he challenged state Sen. Peter Harckham for the 40th District seat.
