Free meals will continue through the end of the school year for students in Mount Vernon.

That announcement came from the school district Monday night after making an amendment to its policy under the Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch Program.

All students at certain schools in the district will be served breakfast and lunch - free of charge.
