What a yucky last Monday of 2025. Dreary, drizzly, foggy, and overall not so pleasant aside from less brutal temperatures.
This will come to an end tonight as a strong system moves through bringing strong gusts.
A wind advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday due to powerful gusts between 30-50 mph. This could delay travel and pose potential power problems.
This system will also usher in much colder air, and when combined with wind, will feel frigid and drop temperatures to below freezing. This means any lingering puddles, ponding, or damp spots could easily ice over and become dangerous to walk or drive on. Be extra mindful of black ice and icy roads tonight.
Temperatures are finishing out the month and stating the new year VERY cold. If you're going to be outdoors for New Years Eve plans, anticipate breezy conditions making temperatures feel all the more brutal.
