Funeral services will be held Wednesday for the mother of Rockland County's first fallen soldier in the Iraq war. 

The community is mourning 64-years-old Yolanda Lopez, who was a fierce advocate for the county's veterans. Her son, Army Cpl. Manny Lopez died in Iraq in 2005.

Her visitation will be on Feb. 22, from 3-8 p.m. at the George Holt Funeral Home in Haverstraw. Her burial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter and St. Mary Church.
