Garrison Union Free School District faces technological security concerns

The Office of the State Comptroller has revealed concerns about technological security in the Garrison Union Free School District.
Officials highlight issues such as improperly secured user accounts and unrecorded devices in the IT inventory, including nine laptops and one printer.
The comptroller's office recommends that the district develop written procedures for managing network user account access, maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, and establish a plan for handling unexpected IT disasters.
