Vanessa Tepper, a senior at Minisink Valley High School, has made history by becoming the first female player and first flag football player to win the New York Giants' Heart of a Giant Award.

Tepper, who previously played tackle football, developed a blood clotting disorder that forced her to switch to flag football. Despite the setback, she persevered and continued her passion for the sport.

As the award winner, Tepper received a trophy, Super Bowl tickets, and a $10,000 donation to the school's flag football program.
