The Goshen Central School District will be on remote learning Thursday after a threatening phone call at the elementary school.

Superintendent of Schools Daniel Connor said a call was received Wednesday afternoon at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School.

He said police were immediately notified and are investigating the incident.

Connor said that although the police have determined that there is no immediate danger, faculty and staff members were sent home and the schools were closed out of an abundance of caution.

There are no students in the buildings on Wednesdays because it is a remote learning day.

As a precaution, all students in K-12 will learn remotely Thursday.

There will also be increased patrols outside of the buildings.
