There could be new legal pushback back against Gov. Kathy Hochul's delay on the Congestion Pricing Plan.

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander announced that legal experts are considering multiple lawsuits to resume the plan.

They say the pause violates multiple state laws, including possibly breaching the Americans with Disabilities Act.

"If congestion pricing is not implemented by June 30 as required by law, this coalition will be ready right away to take these cases to court," Lander said.

"Disability advocates, we supported congestion pricing because we were told that it would pay for all accessibility," said Dr. Sharon McLennon, executive director of CIDNY.

A spokesperson for Hochul said she does not believe it is the right time for congestion pricing and can not comment on potential lawsuits.
