An annual summertime tradition is underway. The Great South Bay Music Festival kicked off Thursday night at Shorefront Park in Patchogue.

The four-day event features more than 60 performers on four different stages. Around 15,000 spectators are expected to attend.

The Great South Bay Music festival is in its 16th year.
