A Greenburgh woman who feared she would miss her brother's wedding in Bulgaria was able to make it overseas with some help from Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Claudine Howson was scheduled to leave for Bulgaria on July 14. However, she still didn't have her passport that she applied for in May.
Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner contacted the senator's office, who reached out Tuesday night with the good news that Howson's passport had been approved and was already in the mail.
Howson was able to take a flight and attend her little brother's wedding.
