A driver was hospitalized after a hammer came crashing through a car window.
State police say it took place at 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning on the New York State Thruway. They say the hammer was thrown from an overpass.
The incident took place at the Scotland Hill Road Bridge overpass in Spring Valley where there's been an ongoing construction project to replace the bridge.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the incident or knows anything to contact them.
The driver was taken to and is being treated at Westchester Medical Center. Details surrounding the drivers condition were not immediately available.
