Animal lovers flocked to Piermont Wednesday to catch a glimpse of a harbor seal visiting the area.
In January, a snowy owl was spotted, making Piermont its home for a few months. Then, in February, bird watchers were treated to the sight of another rare bird, the ivory gull.Harbor seals are occasionally spotted in the area. West Nyack resident Ellie McCabe saw the seal catch a fish for breakfast. ?They really have a nice area down here for people to come and observe these things. I feel like I'm going to the zoo," she said.
