A Harrison police officer who is facing a misdemeanor charge in Greenburgh is retiring.
An item on Thursday’s Harrison Town Board meeting agenda is a request by the Personnel Manager and Police Chief to accept Biberaj’s retirement to be effective on Sep 8.
Harrison police say 51-year-old Sokolj Biberaj was charged with petit larceny. Biberaj allegedly took a skylight worth $500 from a loading dock at New Castle Building Projects on Aug. 5.
They say he turned himself in to the police two weeks later.
Biberaj is due back in court in September.
News 12 has yet to hear back from Harrison police on Biberaj’s status despite multiple attempts.
