Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A 20-year-old from Middletown will spend 18 years behind bars for murder. Chelsea Johnson fatally stabbed 17-year-old Roy Boyd with a kitchen knife during an argument outside of her house. She pleaded guilty back in November of last year.
A driver accused of crashing into a garage while intoxicated is now facing several charges. Police say Yohance Primus, of Brooklyn, was under the influence when he crashed on Overlook Drive in Valhalla Sunday night. He was charged with aggravated DWI and DWAI. Police are still looking for the passengers who took off. No one was injured.
Advocates are delivering a new proposal to save the cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service.  The "Save the Post Office Coalition" wants the USPS to bring back basic banking services like check cashing and be allowed to ship and deliver alcohol.
They say it could help raise $50 million a year.
The Postmaster General unveiled his own plan last week, which featured slower mail and higher prices.
