Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
The Westchester's DA's office is asking for the public’s help to identify a murder victim from 1978. They released a sketch of a man who was fatally shot in Hastings-on-Hudson 43 years ago. The body was found in a wooden chest by a driver on the side of the Saw Mill River Parkway. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
State police say no charges will be filed against the teenage driver who struck and killed another teen in Kiryas Joel last week. Police say the driver was not at fault for hitting 16-year-old Aaron Freeman, who was walking along Forest Road last Tuesday night. Authorities say their investigation shows Freeman abruptly entered the road and was hit by accident.
There is updated information on a JTR Transportation tour bus that flipped off the Thruway on Saturday outside Syracuse over the weekend. Police say Fermin Vasquez, 66, was driving the bus which was headed to Niagara Falls. All 57 people who were on board were sent to nearby hospitals for injuries -- ranging from minor to serious.
