Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
The midnight shift was busy for the Ramapo Police Department on Wednesday. Officers made two separate arrests for of driving while intoxicated on Route 59 in Airmont. The first driver, observed driving erratically, faced charges of aggravated DWI but was eventually released with traffic tickets. The second incident involved a driver seen swerving over the double yellow line; this individual was charged with DWI and driving without a license.
Rockland County officials say they've taken down a major drug trafficker as an indictment was filed against Jonathan Huertas in State Supreme Court. He faces an indictment in the State Supreme Court, accused of orchestrating two kidnappings and assaults in the Bronx last year, with plans for a potential third kidnapping. Despite fleeing to Mexico, he was arrested in September. Investigations unveiled that these violent incidents were connected to the theft of narcotics.           
A Yonkers woman and a Brooklyn man have pleaded guilty to producing and distributing child pornography. Dilicia Aguirre-Orellana, 23, of Yonkers, and Jonathan Rivera, 34, of Brookyln, were arrested in February 2022. Aguirre-Orellana is scheduled to be sentenced in July, while Rivera is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
