Three men are facing charges in connection with a home burglary in Orange County. New Windsor police said they responded to a call for a reported burglary on Continental Drive. Officers saw the suspects driving away from the home and that same car soon crashed into a rock wall on Blooming Grove Turnpike. Police arrested this trio and charged them with two counts of burglary.
A Yonkers store has been shut down for allegedly selling illegal smoke products. The store on 2B Main Street in the Getty Square area was closed by police. Yonkers police, the building department, and the Consumer Protection Bureau have all been looking into the business. They confiscated several flavored vape pens, THC vapes, and illegal tobacco products.
Dozens of layoffs are expected at an Elmsford-based company. Urnex, which manufactures popular household items, has decided to relocate from its site on Executive Boulevard. Eighty-four employees are expected to be affected. It will close its doors on Feb. 28.
