Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
An accused drunk driver speeding more than 100 mph on the Palisades Parkway has been arrested, according to state police. State troopers say Baruch Ungar, 26, sped by them in Orangetown and tried to out run police. The Monsey man finally pulled over on Route 59 in Clarkstown where he was taken into custody.
Police, with assistance from K-9 Officer Amber, made a drug bust during a traffic stop on the state Thruway in the town of Florida. A man from the Bronx is now facing several charges for cocaine possession and having a forged New Jersey temporary license plate and fake registration to match.
The town of Greenburgh has been awarded a $6,000 grant to further its “COVID Angels” initiative and address vaccine hesitancy.
