Police in Spring Valley are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to have cause thousands of dollars in damage at a church. They say the man broke numerous pieces of property and statues at the Church of St. Joseph. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact them at 845-356-7400.
Police in Connecticut have made an arrest in the shooting of a 15-year-old girl at a mall popular with Putnam and Dutchess county residents. Officials say a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody Monday after turning himself in, accompanied by his parents. Police say the shooting happened at the Danbury Fair Mall last Wednesday night. The teenage girl was found inside Macy's with a gunshot wound to her chest. She was rushed to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Investigators say it appears she was not the intended target.
A New Rochelle man is facing charges after admitting to several burglaries. New Rochelle police received calls of four commercial burglaries in the same area on back to back nights last week. After an investigation, they determined Lidio Garcia was responsible. Garcia confessed to those crimes and two other burglaries in another jurisdiction. He is now facing four counts of burglary.
