A Yonkers man has admitted to a deadly shooting in 2020. Jerome Wilson pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office. Authorities say Wilson shot Chazz Mitchell of Yonkers during a fight on Oak Street in August 2020. He's expected to be sentenced in July to 15 years in state prison.
An Ulster County man is behind bars and facing charges in an alleged domestic violence incident. Saugerties police say they were called to a home on Old Stage Road Saturday. Officers say Richard Marinello intentionally caused damage inside of the home and attacked another resident, punching the victim in the face and in the stomach. Marinello was charged with attempted assault, criminal mischief, and criminal contempt.
A Poughkeepsie man is accused of stealing a car in Highland. Town of Lloyd police arrested James Thorne for stealing a car from a business on Route 9W. He's now facing a charge for felony grand larceny in the 4th degree. He's been released on an appearance ticket and is set to show up in Town of Lloyd Court in mid-June.
