The treasurer of the Arlington Lacrosse Developmental Club has been charged with stealing over $43,000 from the club. State police say 65-year-old Robert Dichiara, of Lagrange, was charged with grand larceny and scheme to defraud. He was arraigned in Lagrange Town Court and released under the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.
Police say a man was seriously injured after he lost control of his vehicle while suffering a medical emergency. Saugerties police responded to a 911 call around 9 a.m. Wednesday about two cars colliding on Route 9W. Upon arrival, they saw 76-year-old Joseph Patterson, of New York City, unconscious. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Patterson remains in the hospital in critical condition.
A New Rochelle man is facing several charges for throwing bullets at police officers. Police say they responded to reports of a tenant acting erratically at a home on Lafayette Avenue. Police say the suspect then locked himself in his apartment but was later taken into custody. After obtaining a search warrant, detectives discovered a handgun and 120 ounces of suspected cocaine. The suspect's roommate was also arrested and charged.
