Here are some stories making headlines in the Hudson Valley.
Police say a motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a pickup truck in Newburgh. They say Shakir Rashada, of New Windsor, was killed in the crash on Route 52 as the truck was making a left turn onto Rock Cut Road on Tuesday. No charges have been filed.
A fire damaged a home in Poughkeepsie Tuesday night. Officials say it started in the first floor living room before spreading to the second floor at a home on Winnikee Avenue. Everyone inside made it out safely.
Four Sullivan County High School students are facing disciplinary action for photos posted to social media this week that mock the death of George Floyd. The Livingston Manor School District says one of the images – showing a student face down on a desk – was taken inside the school. District Superintendent John Evans released a statement online condemning the images and insensitive remarks, saying, "On behalf of the Livingston Manor Central School District I apologize for this inappropriate student behavior. Racism cannot and will not be tolerated."
