Here are some of the stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Flames tore through a Newburgh home on 1st Street Wednesday evening. News 12 is told a man inside was able to escape and two nearby homes were damaged by the flames.  There is no word yet on a cause.
A Pleasant Valley man has been accused of having sexual conduct with a child under the age of 15. Police tell News 12 they arrested Chandler Stolarski after a monthlong investigation. The 22-year-old is now out on $7,000 bail.
Family and friends are remembering a Wallkill High School football player who died after the first day of practice. School officials say Miguel Lugo, 17, collapsed after the first day of practice on Monday. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The cause of death has not been determined yet. A GoFundMe page has already raised over $35,000 for his family.
